The market share of thinkM’s `MiAPS` goes up 50%…Cost and time investment goes down.

A solution enabling entry-level software developers to easily make various apps is popular.

According to thinkM (CEO Cho Byung-jik) on January 26, ‘My Apps (MiAPS),’ a mobile enterprise application platform (MEAP), was applied to LF (formerly LG Fashion), Daesang and COEX last year and saw its market share exceed 50%. As it is possible to easily make expensive apps in a short time at a low cost, no professional software developer or IT service subsidiary is necessary.

As MiAPS supports the mobile integrated development environment (IDE), entry-level software developers can make mobile enterprise apps. The company said that high-priced apps, which used to take 2 months to develop, can be developed in one week and the cost can be reduced by close to 80%.

It has all the modules necessary for a mobile platform, such as the push service necessary for enterprise apps, links to the legacy system, security communication and Appstore. It is possible to make service apps fit for any enterprise with a single platform.

It supports major operating systems like Android and iOS, and can be used not only on smartphones, but also on tablet PCs.

MiAPS is used in major enterprises in various sectors, including logistics, construction and food, e.g. CJ Korea Express, POSCO E&C and Shinsegae Food. Its excellence is recognized. The industry consensus is that it solved several problems all at once, i.e. lower development productivity due to implementation of mobile services, problem with the supply and demand of professional developers and problems with OS support. Thanks to its multi-language support technology, it is highly likely to succeed in overseas markets like the US and China.

“Large corporations could introduce mobile services in a short period of time because of the MiAPS platform,” said Seo Seung-sik, managing director of thinkM. “To improve reliability, thinkM is planning to release an enhanced product that reflects customer needs.”
