LG Hausys (CEO Oh Jang-soo) said on January 25 that its surface product group won the excellence award at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), held in Las Vegas, US on January 20–22 (local time).

At this event, LG Hausys unveiled new products reflecting the latest design trends, including products succeeding to the engineered stone ‘Viatera Musica.’ In particular, the wireless charging ‘Tech Top’ received a lot of attention. Last month this product won the grand prize in the Technology category from the world-famous interior magazine, Interior Design.

Through this show, LG Hausys also acquired new customers, such as professional architects in the public service sector, including airports and restaurants, and construction materials distributors, as well as existing distributors. The company is planning to concentrate on increasing the supply of premium scagliola in the residential market, and on developing products fit for different uses in the commercial market this year, and thus continue to grow in the North American market where the construction business is picking up.

Kim Gwang-jin, CEO of LG Hausys America, said, “As we are producing both acrylic scagliola and engineered stones at the same time, we will reinforce the synergies between these two products and continuously conduct marketing activities to become a leading company in the North American market.”

KBIS is a 50-year-old North American architectural decoration and materials exhibition. Kitchen and bath products, such as kitchen furniture, flooring, lighting and scagliola were introduced at this show. More than 120,000 people visited the show this year.
