A cooperation solution for domestic companies to rival Google Docs will be released.

idsTrust and Naver Business Platform (NBP) announced on the 8th that they had exchanged a MoU for the development of ‘WiseOne SmartRunner,’ which is a corporate cooperation solution designed to promote smart work.

WiseOne SmartRunner is in the form of convergence between a groupware solution developed by UWISEONE and Naver’s corporate cooperation service ‘NAVER Works.’ It has been developed as a counterpart for Google Docs, which is making inroads into the domestic corporate groupware market as of late. It is evaluated that WiseOne SmartRunner has been verified of stability and convenience as it was developed on the basis of NAVER Works, which reflects requirements derived as Naver used it as its internal groupware. In addition, with servers also located abroad for Korean companies in overseas markets, the e-mail transmission speed is fast.

SmartRunner uses Naver platform for e-mail service and work portal and UWISEONE supplies other corporate solutions. idsTrust, which is an affiliate of UWISEONE, will handle sales and distribution.

Unlike the existing Naver Mail service, the new solution is developed in a new format for corporate usage. In addition, UWISEONE will provide electronic authorization, questionnaire survey, resource management and corporate SNS functions. The goal is to provide a cooperating environment suitable for not only domestic corporate users, but also for overseas users. The product will be released towards the yearend.

Based on the cloud computing system, the work PC will function only as a client and program execution and data storage will be handled at the central server. From users’ standpoint, server purchasing, operating and program development costs are reduced, according to idsTrust.

The two companies plan to provide separate supporting programs and the related promotional services so that both small and large companies can utilize the service conveniently.

“We selected Naver Mail because it is ranked No. 1 in Korea and has been verified of stability to withstand various forms of hacking attack,” said idsTrust CEO Han Jae-hyeong. “We are setting up active business and marketing plans in order to compete with global solutions.”
